Dr. Courtney graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport in 1991, and completed his internal medicine residency in 1994 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado
Currently, Dr. Courtney serves as a preceptor for medical students at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He was awarded the "Golden Stethoscope" in 2015 for excellence in medical education.
In his free time, Dr. Courtney enjoys sushi, watching LSU football, bird watching, and enjoying the Colorado mountain air.
Dr. Courtney enjoys building trust with his patients. He is known for his positive rapport with patients and collaboration in treatment plans.
